60/2 spun silk in a variety of colors in 50/100/200/300 yard lengths

    from $3.00

This silk is finer than the 20/2 silk I also stock; I first tried weaving with it on a dare, and while it weaves wonderfully it also weaves very very slowly. On the other hand, friends who embroider started using it more and more.
The 60/2 silk is tightly plied, so that fuzziness is not a factor while embroidering, and the threads can easily be doubled or tripled as required. This is wonderful silk for projects like blackwork, which rely on a strong outline.
The third picture shows an option for weavers: the 4" shuttle bobbin. This option is only offered in 300 yard lengths. (The green silk pictured is 20/2 silk and for comparison purposes only.)
